TransitionsiFor each shortlisted manager, who they replaced and who replaced them, with PPG immediately before and after. Same-season handovers are ordered using continuity with the season before and after; spells touching an unresolved 3-or-more-way split are flagged ⚠. League environment comparison
How different is the move?
Compare tactical familiarity, physical familiarity, the selected manager's individual effect and competition strength. A familiar playing environment can still represent a major step up in standard.
20-league model · manager-adjusted overlay
Select the current league first, then choose any manager with a matched profile from that league.
Comparable historical transitions iReal documented manager moves between these two leagues, or -- where too few of those exist in the database -- moves of a similar strength-band jump, each with actual points-per-game before and after the move.

Biggest environmental differences
How to read this
Environment similarity uses tactical (60%) and physical (40%) profiles where both are available. Tactical-only comparisons remain clearly labelled.
Manager effect measures the selected manager against managers in the same source league, then shows whether that individual profile moves closer to or further from the destination.
Comparable transitions are real career moves pulled from the platform's own stint history -- not a model estimate -- so they can act as a sanity check on the similarity scores above.
Strength band is an indicative RJW tier informed by global Opta Power Rankings and, for European competitions, UEFA association coefficients. It is directional, not a prediction of success.
A high similarity score means the football environment should feel familiar. The manager effect personalises that comparison; neither score means the competition is equally difficult.

iSource: RJW league results, Football-Data historical results and Transfermarkt window records. Transfer evidence spans 20 leagues. MLS and Brazil use calendar-year periods; MLS results exclude playoffs. Undisclosed fees and unresolved movement dates remain flagged; evidence coverage is not scoring coverage. Dated coaching-history inference is labelled separately from match-level attribution. RAI v2 = 55% immediate PPG impact, 25% resource efficiency, 10% sustained initial impact, 10% baseline/headroom.

Resource-Adjusted ImpactiRAI places post-window PPG movement in the context of immediately usable recruitment resource. Use Overview for the decision summary, Window History for the underlying evidence, Resource Efficiency for spend-versus-impact context, and Consistency & Benchmarking to test repeatability against the cohort. The shortlist remains the primary analysis scope.
RAI weighting: 55% immediate PPG change · 25% resource efficiency · 10% sustained impact · 10% baseline/headroom. Scores are contextual indicators, not causal estimates.

Appointment Relevance ranks the available evidence; it is not a success prediction. Tactical similarity, physical compatibility, destination readiness and performance evidence remain separate. Major change reduces the importance of continuity rather than rewarding arbitrary tactical difference—use Change the Approach to define a specific new style.
